PAYMENTS
Payments may be made by Cash, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept checks as payment. Gift certificates may not be used as a form of deposit. Upon receiving gift certificate at check-in, your intial deposit paid by credit card may be credited to your account at that time.
POLICIES
The Lodge is appropriate for adults ages 18 and older. Children are permitted in our cabins.
NON-SMOKING
Gateway Lodge maintains a strict non-smoking environment. We do not allow smoking or candle burning in any of our guest rooms. If smoking is evident you will be charged a $100-$200 Housekeeping fee depending on damages. Most of the suites have private porches on which smoking is permitted. Please request a suite with porch if needed.
LIQUOR
All common areas are licensed by the PA Liquor Control Board. We have a full liquor license and wine list and are happy to provide any alcoholic beverage needs you may have. Our liquor license requires that any alcohol consumed in the public areas of the inn, in the restaurant or on the grounds must be purchased from us. A violation to this rule, will receive first a warning, and then second a $100 fine for the violation to be paid upon check-out. Any conference or group retreat will forfeit $500 of their deposit upon violation of this policy. Legal action may be taken if situation continues.
LIABILITY
Gateway Lodge reserves the right to charge for any damage done to the property. Damage to linens or towels resulting from use of body oils, make-up, shoe polish, etc. will result in charge for cleaning, repair, or replacement of fixtures, linens or towels. Loud, lewd, or vulgar behavior is not permitted. Gateway Lodge reserves the right to cancel any function or reservation if management determines that there has been a misrepresentation in the booking.
Patrons are fully responsible for any injury to any and all guests attending except those caused by the negligence of the Gateway Lodge.The hotel cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought on the premises as well as equipment, materials or personal property left in the Lodge prior to, during, or following any function.
LODGE SERVICES
Rates are for one or two people per night, including afternoon tea and pastries from 4-6 pm, breakfast and turn-down service. Two or three night minimums may apply to peak seasons or holiday weekends.
A gratuity of $10.00 per day will be added to your bill. This gratuity is for the Breakfast Server and Housekeeping staff. Gratuity for your dinner service is at your own discretion. An automatic 18% gratuity is added on groups of 10 or more.
State and Hotel taxes, bar charges, spa charges are additional.
Check-in welcome from 4pm–9pm (later check-ins may be arranged in advance). Check-out requested by 12 pm.
Gateway Lodge is wheelchair accessible. We have two suites that can accommodate those with disabilities. Please make your specific needs known prior to arriving so we can serve you best.

RESERVATION POLICY
Reservations must be secured by a deposit equal to one night’s stay. With at least a 48-hour notice, we will gladly refund your deposit in a form of a gift certificate to be used at any time with no expiration date. For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, deposit is non–refundable. Guests who fail to show are responsible for the entire stay. Guests may move a reservation only once without penalization. The second time will result in losing the deposit.
