A brief history of Gateway Lodge Bed and Breakfast Inn
The
history of Gateway Lodge began in 1934 when Ray and Beth Griscom
constructed the lodge with felled logs of hemlock and pine. On
September 12, 1980 the deed was passed to Joseph and Linda Burney of
Erie, Pennsylvania. Most recently the property was taken over by Deb
Adams in the fall of 2006.
The lodge facilities include eight small quaint guest rooms and seven family cabins and twenty-three suites. We also cater to small intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners as well as small business seminars in our Conference Center.
Gateway Lodge reflects a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere and gracious
hospitality with a rustic decor that brings back those familiar
warm-hearted memories of yesteryear.
Excellence is not coincidental nor occasional. It is attained
through discipline and dedication. We, at Gateway Lodge, take great
strides to accomplish this code of excellence. If anything during your
visit with us is not complete satisfaction, please let us know. Our
goal is that in bringing you once to Gateway Lodge you will want to
return again and again.
